Ray Treacy’s top US Athletes are in Eugene Oregon for the Olympic Trials. Molly Huddle, the US 2011 Champion in the 5000m is the American record holder and undoubtedly the favorite in this event. Also in the 5000m is Providence College’s standout sophomore Emily Sisson. Emily is in terrific form and could surprise a lot of people this week. Expect to see both Molly and Emily make the final on Thursday night and in hunt to make the Olympic Team (The semi-final will be run on Monday night at 9’05pm EST, and the final will be held on Thursday June 28th at 10’15pm EST).
First up for the Ray’s women will be Providence resident and PC Alum, Katie DiCamillo in the 10,000m on Friday June 22nd. This is Katie’s first Olympic trials.
